# 1 “Selected” may (to use
a favorite word of “Linda Langtree”) not be the way you and I use that term. In
this case, the more correct word would be “purchased”, as in, your name and
address have been purchased in a mailing list that is used to merge with a word processing
document to generate these SCAM letters. I suppose, one could stretch the meaning of
“selected” to cover that usage.
# 2 I have marked every instance of the use
of the two favorite words in all these letters: “may” and “perhaps”. T
hat’s why you see the words in bold red with a
dotted underline. Notice there is not a
single paragraph, in this SCAM, without at least one of those two words!

# 3 Because this letter, like the majority
of the others on this site, are generated by a computer using a purchased mailing list, the
‘author’ has no idea about the recipient (you, for example). They certainly have no
idea that many of the SCAM letters sent to my aunt, which eventually ended up in my mailbox,
where sent to a person no longer alive; she passed away in early 2010! That should
make you think twice about trusting anything these SCAMmers claim or promise. The methods they
use guarantees that they don’t and can’t know anything about you.

# 4 In the next three paragraphs,
“Linda Langtree” will be trying to convince you to think she is more
concerned about you than practically anyone you can imagine. She is so ‘concerned’
that she explains all the money she thinks you have coming and why you are so worthy of getting
it. My question is; why does she require you to pay $24.95 before she tells you how to receive
these great benefits? She wants you to trust her with your money but
does not seem ready to trust that you would ever send her some of the great amounts
you should be receiving. It would seem to me that she should be more concerned about
your needs, since she claims to have such detailed and unlimited powers to know so much you
need this cash. I think it should be obvious that the only concern this SCAMmer has is getting
your money.

# 5 Here is the standard
“Act-immediately-before-you-think” scheme. It is in every SCAM, including every one
on this site. It’s a well-worn attempt to get you to act immediately without considering how
outlandish or vague the claims or promises might be. It is also a blatant attempt to keep you from
talking to anyone, especially your trusted friends and family, about the SCAM. The SCAMmers
greatest fear is that you will see these letters for what they truly are; pure SCAMs.
Please take some time to think about any of these letters and then talk about them with anyone you
trust, including your Pastor, your parents, adult children, your local Postmaster!

# 6 One more plea to “Act
Immediately”, but think about the second part of that sentence; “within the next 96
hours and I’ll include the following Bonus gifts”. First, how would “Ms.
Langtree” know when you mail your reply? She doesn’t even know when you
get this letter.
# 7 At last the true reason for this SCAM
letter! This SCAMmer wants your money, just like all the others! I hope you are not surprised.
If you are, you must not have read any of the other SCAMs listed on this site. Absolutely every
single SCAM requires you to send them money, eventually, if not immediately. That’s how
they pay for the mailing lists, envelopes, letter printing costs, etc. You can also expect to
get even more requests for even more money, if you send any kind of reply.

# 8 I’ll simply repeat my comments
about these ‘guarantees’, I’ve yet to hear of any guarantees that has been
honored. I’m still waiting for someone, anyone, to tell me they managed to get
any of their money back from any SCAM mentioned on my site. Learn from others
mistakes; don’t send any money to this SCAM!
