“Expert in telepathic research and analysis.
Fifth generation clairvoyant and tarot expert.
By appointment only (waiting time approximately 1 year).

“All the secrets in this letter must remain between us

“Dear First_Name Last_Name, danger is approaching rapidly!

“Do not take it lightly, dear First_Name Last_Name. It sent shivers down my spine as well. But you can be reassured that I will protect you from the danger menacing you on August 30 if you follow my instructions.

“Please read my letter very carefully.

“Dear First_Name Last_Name

“I was deeply affected by seeing you suffer. You are so intelligent, likable and of such value that I can no longer stand for you continuing to suffer in silence...”

Step One: “Butter” up the client!

Please remember, the quotations above and below are from the SCAM letter of “Marie de Fortune” _not_ by

“But be careful, First_Name Last_Name, time is running out. We have to act very very rapidly or else the favorable phase to improve your situation will pass and nothing will change. If you carefully follow what I will tell you, nothing can fail. With my help, August 30 will not turn into a nightmare, but on the contrary will be the start of a marvelous life that you more than deserve.”

Step Two: Exaggerate the need for speed!

“Let me explain: as a result of my actions before midnight of August 30, I will resolve all the problems that are tormenting you. No matter what your problems are: money, vitality, love. First_Name Last_Name, I am intimately convinced that I can help you to make your worries a thing of the past...

Step Three: Promise anything and lots of it!

“I must first give you several IMPORTANT REVELATIONS. These secret revelations concern you personally. More precisely your future. Please continue reading attentively.”

Step Four: Make things personal and private.

1st Secret Revelation

“You will finally become rich! You don’t believe me? But its true! And it will happen as follows: you will obtain two lottery wins on September 26 and October 12 (yes, two incredible sums that will follow very rapidly)...

2nd Secret Revelation

“Someone close to you will try to do you harm on Friday, September2.

“But don’t worry; I will immediately stop the actions of this person.

3rd Secret Revelation

“Three dates of intense sentimental happiness will mark your life. You will be filled with immense joy and will live an intense happiness.

“October 1 is part of this.

4th Secret Revelation

“As I already said, without my help you will fall victim to an abominable day. YES, this terrible August 30. But in reality it will not be this way. I promise you.

5th Secret Revelation

“You will receive registered mail during the week of September 13. You must sign it since it will contain an extremely important document that will change your life in a very positive manner...

Please remember, the quotations above and below are from the SCAM letter of “Marie de Fortune” _not_ by

Read only this 6th Secret Revelation if you want to know how much time you will live...

Step Five: Keep a little bit for later.

“I am writing this passage in this way so it doesn’t “strike” immediately in case you don’t want to know how much time is left to live. I have spoken with several guardian angels who are looking out for your life and they all assured me that you still have many years of happiness in front of you.

Since I already know so much about you thanks to my gifts of clairvoyance, I will play a very important role in your coming life and happiness. This is why this letter is perhaps the most important of your life.

“I predict the future and perform miracles. I inherited these supernatural gifts from my grandmother who in turn inherited them from her grandmother.

“I generally intervene where others have failed as a last resort so to speak for certain desperate souls. I make my appearance at the moment when problems become emergencies, when they suffocate people. Whether it involves money, love, solitude, bad luck or a lack of vitality, helping people is my life’s mission..

And I will not fail you either. I will put an end to your worries and your problems totally objectively and in an unlimited manner...”

Step Six: Toot your own horn, loudly!

“But your case is important in my eyes so please accept it as a gift. During the next 6 months, its supernatural powers will protect you from events that could become dramatic. Since I cannot be at your side all the time, please keep it on you always. In this way I will know that you are safe.”

Toot that horn and add more ‘butter’!

Text:I will be aleways looking out for you

“You will not have long to wait until you see that all this is true. It is not rare that I obtain spectacular results in only 24 hours. I know important secrets of my grandmother that provide instantaneous luck. You can test my secret powers very easily and judge their incredible effectiveness yourself.

“Imagine that your financial worries are a thing of the past. I will do everything I can so that you become rich in only a few weeks... Your life will be one of financial independence. Imagine what you will be able to do with this money!

“If a problem involves love, friendship and family, I can also perform genuine miracles. Prepare yourself for a wonderful surprise on October 4. You will never again be alone!

Throw in a few more promises!

“You are such a good person that you deserve all this happiness. In order to obtain these miracles, you have to become aware of some important information concerning your future. And I am the only person who can give you this secret information. This is why I will send you a precise “Interpretation of the Intuitions of a Medium”. The preparation of this document requires a great deal of work. As you can already see with my gift, I will never let fate decide your future.

I will use all my secret and supernatural powers and make sure that each of my revelations comes to pass. I will say no less than seven prayers of wealth and will carry out six very precise secret rituals to also assure myself that the incredible events concerning your fortune will occur on September 26, October 12 and October 31.

I will also stay up for three nights to attract vitality, love, friendship and absolute happiness to you, that will last forever. And even though I am giving you my preferred Talisman today that will guarantee you protection and have happiness come your way, I will nevertheless invoke higher forces. In this way I will be totally sure that evil will not affect you on August 30 and September 2.

“This is just a small glimpse of the measures I will take so that miracles happen to your life and that all your suffering ceases definitively. In order for everything to happen exactly as I revealed in my Interpretation of the Intuitions of a Medium, I must carry out a considerable intervention and totally invest myself for you. This is worth it because our future, yours and mine, depends on the success of this undertaking. If I do not put an end to your suffering, I will be very sad and deeply affected.”

Self-promotion must be a virtue! Ms. de Fortune used the personal pronoun “I” a dosen times in just the four paragraphs above!

THE DANGER OF AUGUST 30 IS GENUINELY REAL! It is coming very quickly. This is why I already started my work and used my supernatural powers to magnetize the Talisman I want to give you...

Please remember, the quotations above and below are from the SCAM letter of “Marie de Fortune” _not_ by

“But we have to act rapidly. Please return your Order for the Six Secret Rituals as soon as possible, after filling it in, accompanied by your symbolic participation of $50. This will cover only a tiny part of costs, but never mind ... it is a question of you...”

Remind the client of the immediate danger and the need to send money ASAP! Won’t hurt to mention how important the client is one more time. Helps build their confidence. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge...

The form above may be too large to display properly on smaller screen sizes (tablets and smart phones) so I have provided the text (with marginal formatting) below:

UNCONDITIONAL GUARANTEE - You are taking absolutely no risk!
This guarantee assures you 100% satisfaction, First_Name Last_Name. There are no conditions. This means that you are totally protected. If for any reason you are not totally satisfied, simply write to me and I will refund your participation with no questions asked.”

Every SCAMmer provides a “100%/unconditional guarantee.” The problem is making use of it. You don’t actually know where these people are. They will never give you a company/personal address or phone number. You don’t even know if the address on the usually enclosed envelope is real or just a collection location at a retail mailbox store.

The vast majority of these letters have overseas addresses. It may be impossible to even make contact with the proper authorities in the country having jurisdiction! Since most of these SCAMs use alias’, it may not be possible to even contact anyone about a refund. Trusting a SCAMmer to honor a guarantee is hopeless endeavor. If you send any money to these SCAMmers, don’t waste stamps trying to recover it. Consider it a “learning experience” and move on. But share your discoveries as much as possible! Email this site!

The Western Australia Department of Commercesite also info on “Ms de Fortune”, also. Apparently, she has so many powers she must seek as many recipients as possible! That site has other good information about SCAMs that come via email. Since those are basically free, it would be wise to be familiar with those named, especially if you have older family and friends who also have email.

Here is a small image of the “Talisman” included in the package from Ms. Fortune. Just from a casual examination, one can see a pattern in the image. I examined the scanned image and marked several areas where the exact text (supposedly Hebrew?) is used in more than one place. Not being a Hebrew scholar, I cannot read or translate the text, but I would find it extremely unusual and highly improbable for any selected text to be duplicated line for line in other places of the “Talisman.”
